OPUS KLASSIK 2024

The OPUS KLASSIK is the biggest and most important German classical music award, celebrating the very best in classical music and honoring outstanding artists and their contributions to the genre. The event featured three spectacular performances by Anastasia Kobekina, Marcin and Anna Lapwood and in total, Sony Music received 9 awards, including: 

• Anastasia Kobekina — “Young Talent of the Year” for "Venice" 

• Anna Lapwood — "Soloist Recording Instrument of the Year" for "Luna"

• Christian Thielemann, Vienna Philharmonic — "Symphonic Recording of the Year" for "Bruckner: Complete Symphonies Edition" 

• Sol Gabetta — “Chamber recording of the year”, with Bertrand Chamayou for "Mendelssohn"

• Antonello Manacorda, Kammerakademie Potsdam — “Symphonic Recording of the Year" for "Beethoven: Symphonies Nos. 5 & 6"

• Dorothee Oberlinger — “Opera Recording of the Year” for "Giuseppe Scarlatti: I portentosi effetti della Madre Natura"

• Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen — “Orchestra of the Year” for "Haydn: London Symphonies No. 101 & 103"

• Marcin - “Video Clip of the Year” for "Carmen"

• Alexandra Stréliski — “New Classic/ Neo Classic” for "Néo-Romance"
