Two female classical stars join forces to newly sound out Chopin’s Nocturnes.Pianist Olga Scheps and cellist Raphaela Gromes unite to present fresh and unique arrangements of six of Frédéric Chopin’s legendary Nocturnes on their new EP, released on May 10 by Sony Classical.
Originally composed for solo piano, the new arrangements by the two female classical stars bring out fresh colors in these famous compositions. Frédéric Chopin`s Nocturnes - composed between 1827 and 1846 - are characterized by their dreamy melodies and rich harmonic textures. They have become enduring favorites in the classical piano repertoire, showcasing Chopin's unparalleled ability to evoke emotions through music. Olga Scheps and Raphaela Gromes created their arrangements together with Julian Riem to bring out new colors in the original compositions, focusing the melodic qualities of the music.
