Italian conductor Claudio Abbado was one of the most famous and important conductors of our time. This high-quality, limited edition of all the recordings Abbado made for the RCA and CBS/Sony labels presents a multi-faceted picture of his incomparable musical ability on 39 CDs. In addition to the early recordings with the London Symphony Orchestra and recordings with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, this edition includes above all the highly acclaimed "Golden Label" recordings with the Berlin Philharmonic, of which he was principal conductor from 1989 to 2002.
